I don't understand how you can get so upset from a "PC-masterrace" joke either, take a chillpill, I remember that the developers have said on multiple occasions that they will look into the issues why some controllers don't work, they have also said that they would like to port the game to consoles. Like you even know the community or the playerbase, you don't play the game. Nowadays you just seem to come here to bash on developers and make comments about how the majority of the players would like to play this game with a controller. Luckily we have a very patient and compassionate community. Should we have amazing guides for all subjects, a whole team to answer all questions promptly and professionally? Probably, but we are a small company and we cannot offer this, nor do we claim to be. Should the OP have more problems i'd gladly look at them with him or her. I believe i've answered the relatively simple question with a relatively simple answer. I'd love to spend more time helping people out, though i'm just a programmer that does this while waiting for my coffee to cool off. Now maybe you can show tell the fella, how to do it. It's about answering a relatively simple question, with a "how to" to follow, rather than a doctoral dissertation that you fed to me, but thank you for the reply. Then the answer i would think should be, "Yes, it can certainly be played with an Xbox 360 controller, though there may be some disadvantages, but here's how".followed by how you do it, which is what the question was. We also dont exclude a console version from ever appearing. In its current incarnation Verdun is targeted at the later, i hope you dont mind.

There is a market for console games and there is a market for PC games. The "Master Race" needs to get with the times, and by a Console. I dont see any reason to close this thread. There's really no need for a hundred different controller variations to do basic things (aim, shoot, prone, breathe, throw grenade etc), and a master race wouldn't need any aim assisting.You can definitely make an xbox controller do all the things you listed, however you will be at a huge disadvantage compared to other players.
